Recap • Jerry Ghionis’ How to Wow Tour
November 4, 2014
We had the pleasure of sponsoring and attending Jerry Ghionis’ How to Wow Tour here in Portland recently, and we left feeling invigorated and inspired. Jerry is not only one of the best photographers around, but has such a special way of communicating his craft and connecting with his audience.
At one point in the day, Jerry took individual photos of attendees, showing real time adjustments you can make to emphasize the best qualities in each of your clients. One man he photographed was silent for a moment and then told Jerry that’s one of the best photos he’s ever seen of himself – a very cool thing to see.
For a more comprehensive recap of the day, we recommend this article from Bryan Caporicci at Sprouting Photographer who attended the session in Toronto, and wrote about what he learned, and some of his key takeaways. He also was able to interview Jerry during lunch, and posted a great Podcast of Jerry discussing old school techniques, practicing your craft and the future of photography.
(Jerry even used Flat Fundy for some posing techniques).
