If you’re a photographer who’s never designed an album before — or if you’ve struggled with complicated software in the past — you’re in the right place. Today, I’ll show you how to design a gorgeous wedding or portrait album in just five minutes using Fundy Designer V11. And the best part?
Once you do it once, you’ll get even faster the next time.
Let’s jump in!

Step 1: Start a New Project
When you first open Fundy Designer, click Start New Project.
Give your project a name (like Johnson Wedding or Smith Family Session) and choose where you want to save it on your computer.
Tip: Create a separate project for each client event!
Then click Create Project.

Step 2: Import Your Photos
Next, click Import Photos.
Fundy will create small “proxy” images that make designing super fast. Don’t worry — when you’re ready to export and order, it will automatically use your full resolution files.

Step 3: (Optional but Recommended) Quick Retouch
Before you start designing, you can apply a one-click retouch.
It’s subtle, natural, and gives your clients that extra polished look — without going over the top.

Step 4: Pick Your Project Type
Choose what kind of shoot it is: wedding, engagement, graduation, etc.
(And don’t stress about the album size yet — changing it later is easy!)
For a wedding, for example, you might want to design:
- An album
- Some wall art
- Thank you cards
- A slideshow

Step 5: Auto-Design in One Click
Now for the magic — click Auto Design.
In just a few seconds, Fundy Designer will lay out your album, wall art, cards, and slideshow for you!

Step 6: Customize Your Album
Open the album and you’ll see your full design ready to go.
Want to adjust it? Here’s how:
- Change Album Size: Click Edit Album Size, choose your print company, album line, and size. Fundy will automatically resize the album without you needing to redesign anything.
- Swap Layouts: Use the Shuffle button to find a layout you love.
- Adjust Photos: Drag and drop to tweak crops or move images around. The blue line shows you the center of the spread.

Step 7: Export and Order
When you’re happy with your design, head to the Export menu.
You can:
- Create an online proof for client review
- Export for print
- Save it as a template set for future designs

Step 8: Speed Up Future Projects with Presets
Want to be even faster next time?
Use the Design Wizard to save your favorite album companies, sizes, wall art setups, and slideshow options as presets.
That way, when you click “Design for Me” again, everything is already set the way you like it — saving you even more time.
In Summary:
You don’t have to be a design expert to create professional albums.
With Fundy Designer:
- Your first album can be designed in 5 minutes (really).
- The software adapts to you — not the other way around.
- Each time you design, you’ll move faster and with more confidence.
