Make More in Virtual Sales with 4 Easy Tips

Selling can make us photographers uncomfortable; throw in the fact that everything is now done virtually — the prospect of selling is almost downright daunting. 

Fundy Storyteller and Sony Artisan, Kesha Lambert, shares her secrets as to how she makes more in virtual sales by speeding up her workflow to make the process easier. Follow these 4 virtual sales tips and the work will sell itself!

1. Create a Passive Process 

The best way to speed up a workflow and increase virtual sales is to create a passive process that takes the pressure off. There are two ways to do this: build packages that incentivize the upsell and get clients involved. 

Having packages that include an album or gallery credit takes all the pressure off “selling’ to clients. About 99% of clients end up wanting more than what is included in the original package, if there is a built-in incentive. This is an easy way to earn passive income without feeling like we have to convince the client to purchase more.

2. Get the Clients Involved

Getting the clients involved is also a great way to take pressure off. After the shoot, send them a link to the gallery with clear instructions and a time frame of what we need next. Allow clients to sit with the images and pick the ones they like – this will cut down on design time. Include information about how to redeem the album or credit that was included in their package, as well as a time to schedule their Zoom meeting. Once the images are finalized, use Fundy Designer’s Auto Design feature to create beautiful albums in minutes.

3. Don’t Delay

After the Zoom meeting reviewing the initial album and wall art designs, make sure to edit and add changes as quickly as possible to turn back around for final approval. If you wait too long, the client can lose excitement or get buyers remorse. The more upfront photographers are about the process and the quicker we are with turnaround, the happier our clients will be.

4. Be Transparent

Being transparent about what is included and disclosing additional costs will also streamline the selling process. Clients don’t want to be surprised with additional costs at the last minute. Make sure to keep clients informed throughout the whole process.
