My cousin is getting married next year and had an engagement party the weekend after Thanksgiving. Well, as often the case with family members, he waited until the last minute. So, a couple weeks ago, I took them out for a nice engagement shoot and was planning on doing just one print in a frame for them to show off at the engagement party.
Well, I ended up getting more great shots than I planned, so I wanted to do something special for their party. I called up Tod at SharedInk to check on his turnaround for their metal covered books. They can do a metal covered book in just 5 days. Perfect.
So, I took my shoot and processed the images in Lightroom. Then I loaded the album selects in Work Flow and processed them with Work Flow along with Totally RadLabs. Then I designed the 18-page signing book and uploaded it to SharedInk. From start to finish, from Lightroom to upload, it took a grand total of 1 hour. That makes portrait albums profitable. Sell some prints or canvases, too, and you are in the money.
Check out the video review of the album.
